    I think Best Buy suffers because it is a consumer electronics retailer and not a consumer electronics manufacturer. Apple products are so high in demand that, if I remember correctly, Best Buy purchases them at cost and makes no profit off the sale of those devices. Forgive me if I'm wrong on that.

    If I remember correctly, Best Buy makes its money by selling related warranties and accessories alongside those Apple products. As more Apple Stores are opened, along with Microsoft and even Samsung stores, I believe that Best Buy is going to become further obsolete.

    Moreover, more people are purchasing electronics online now than ever before, be it from Apple's online store, Amazon, eBay or even Best Buy's online store. The whole brick-and-mortar "Walmart of electronics" that Best Buy is just seems less and less relevant these days.
