Yes, it works very well. As promised, here are the before-after pictures (taken where there is both bright light and dark shadows to better show it's effectiveness): BEFORE: AFTER: This was done with the $1.99 App, True HDR on an iPod Touch 4G running iOS4.1.
any more photos you can show us? and does it work similar to how the iPhone 4 does? like you just toggle on HDR on or off? btw, looks great!
It's a seperate app that you have to run, and people say it's pretty slow (takes 3 quick pictures, then it's about 10-15 second processing time), but I like it. Anything else you'd like to see?
i have hand tremors so it's harder for me to take a good picture since my hands shake when i try to hold them still for a photo. is this going to be a problem for me taking photos with this? longer exposure time or whatever it is?
Ummm..Maybe. You have to hold the camera pretty still for about 3 seconds. I've noticed some artifacts in the result because my hand shook a little when taking the pictures. You would be fine resting your arm/hand on something though, as long as the iPod stays relatively still. I think it tries to align the images to correct for movement, but it's not perfect.
thanks for the info, and the photos. i think i'll hold off with this app until later down the road, depending on how many times i actually use the camera for stills. that does look like a good app though.
Indeed. I bought it on impulse rather than necessity. I just happened to have some iTunes credit that was wasting away . I think I may use it occasionally, but definitely not very often.
