Norton or Mcaffe are pretty good ones.

    1. Get Maleware Bytes. It's free (Catches malware. Normal anti-virus can't do this)
    2. Get SpyBot Search and Destroy, also free (Catches spyware)
    3. Get McAfee or NOD32 anti-virus. norton is also good but ti si bloated and full of crap additions.

If you are a normal user that isn't downloading *******s or going to pr0n websites, a free anti-virus like Microsoft Security Essentials is more than sufficient.

The best antivirus is to not get a virus

Norton literally thought my printer was a virus and wouldn't let me run anything in full screen until I unplugged it. Also, it always felt like the neighborhood watch captain who boasted his title too much and had a kid in private school.

Mcaffee always says my system is vulnerable and it needs updated and wants my money.
I don't like either of 'em

AVG and Avast are good. However, this article compares 3 antiviruses and suggests antivir is the best.

Myself uses Avast with a few anti adware and spyware programs to back it up. I've never had a problem with it, at all.
