Depends on what carrier and what you want. On verizon. Do you want a large screen, or a full keyboard? Or maybe a medium size screen. If you want a medium size screen do you care about the UI (Sense/touchwiz)?

    Large screen- Droid X
    Full Keyboard- Droid 2
    Medium screen(Sense)- Droid Incredible
    Medium screen (touchwiz)- Samsung Fascinate

Galaxy S phones have the worst skin ever.

I'd go with the G2 on t-mobile. Everything about it just looks great.

G2 looks fantastic. The Galaxy S series has the problems of a first generation device and skin.

Droid Incredible or X is probably the best on Verizon. Evo 4G or Epic 4G on Sprint. And then the Captivate on ATT. However, if I were on ATT I would get the iPhone 4 before the Captivate.

Epic 4G is a nice phone for Sprint but the skin is horrible.

If you're on Sprint, I would definitely choose the Evo 4G over the Epic 4G.

    AT&T: Samsung Captivate
    Verizon: Droid Incredible
    T-Mobile: G2
    Sprint: Epic 4G

The Captivate is not the best phone on AT&T in my opinion, but it is the only one you can buy with a contract. The best Android AT&T at the moment is the Nexus One, which is only available to developers.

The Droid Incredible also may not be the best phone, depending on whether you like Sense or not, how much you want a physical keyboard, and if you care about the locked bootloader. If you don't care/know about Sense, need/want a keyboard, and if the Custom ROMs are nothing to you, than get the Droid X.

The T-Mobile G2 is not out yet, but will be soon, but if you need one NOW, get the Nexus One or the MyTouch 3G.

And for Sprint, it could be either the Evo 4G or the Epic 4G. They are totally equal, but test them out because, one has a keyboard, one has Sense, the other has TouchWiz, etc.

Or you could join the webOS community and be awesome with us, but *sigh*.
