Before jailbreaking my ipod touch

    Hi, i am new here. Hope ppl can guide me along.
    I want to jailbreak my new ipod touch. I do not have many knowledge about the jailbreaking process.
    So...
    1.) If i have songs,videos and photos,will i lose my data after jailbreaking ?
    2.) My firmware is 2.1.1 , can it be jailbreak ?

    2)Yes.

    iPod Touch 2G cannot be jailbreaked yet.

    In that case, the answer to #2 is "no", because 2.1.1. is ONLY available for the iPod Touch 2G.

    The iPod touch 2nd-gen has not been jailbroken yet. You can follow the iPhone Dev Team's progress on this by visiting their blog here. But, if it could be jailbroken, you would loose your data after jailbreaking because it requires a restore.

    where did you get this lose data from? quickpwn doesnt touch your data on 1g touch.. no resync required

    A restore deletes everything in your iPod and reinstalls the firmware.
    It's somewhat like a reformat for a computer.

    a jailbreak deletes all your data (music,pictures,videos)???

    Does it delete the settings too (time, weather, etc)
    Would we have to restore after, or can we simply resync the data?

    listen up!!! you need to be on 2.1 ok???? you can have what ever you like. on version 2.1! now if you want to jailbreak version 2.1 DL Quickpwn 21-1. Follow te insturstutions and wa,effin,la. you jailbreak WITHOUT losing your data... thank you come again!
