    Credit Crunch and whatever,

Noone's buying anything coz they're scared

    Will Apple:

    1) Realise noone's buying and lower the price?

    2) Up the price to meet their targets?

If Sony isn't dropping the price of the PS3 or Blu-Ray stuff, why should Apple drop the prices of their Macs? Technology will still sell even with the economy the way it is.

macs are obviously selling aswell because on the site it said ships within 24 hours just after they were released, now its 7 days.

So why would they lower the price?

Our economy is not to the point of no return yet, when we are in a recession people still have money for extra things like electronics and video-games, but are less willing to spend that money. As e can tell by Apple's and Sony's sales people are still buying Apple computers and PS3s.

Now in a full on depression no one has money to pay for electronics because all of the money goes to food. then yes, but if the c=economy goes that far were all screwed.

Sony already dropped the price of the PS3 to an affordable $399. To add, they introduced a Greatest Hits line of PS3 Games, which sell at a cheaper price.

And Microsoft have dropped the price of the 360.

It seems to me, that if people aren't buying them they'll do one or the other.

This is what happens with all electronics; you must consider that the Xbox 360 was released in Nov 2005, and the PlayStation 3 in Nov 2006. That's 2-3 years, which is a considerably long time for a console. This is the cause of the price drops, not a recession. The electronic industry is booming, not reclining.
