Hi, this will only interest Brits. I can get onto the iPlayer site no problem, but when I actually try to play anything from TV, I always get a message saying something along the lines that the 'format is not supported'. Why? Radio programmes don't throw up any problems. Is this an issue with anyone else, or any issue with the new 3.0 version of the software?

You're saying that you can't watch any of the TV shows? I just watched Top Gear earlier on and it was working fine. Are you on the mobile iPlayer site?

Could you not use a UK Proxy?

It's something I've considered but either you pay for them or generally they're down as soon as you've installed the proxy or VPN.... I'd rather give my readies to Auntie if they'd set up an international viewing system tbh. With the internet going the way it is global access to all forms of media can't be that far away (I hope!).

iPlayer may be trying to push forward the new Live TV feature for iPhone.. sit tight and it should be working soon (it's not working on the iPhone site for me either at the moment, but the web app works!)

    BBC iPlayer Mobile Abroad

Watch TV AbroadThis will also interest Brits. Its possible to set up a private VPN proxy connection so you can play TV and Radio abroad; avoiding the error message - not available in your area. I've created a video at Watch BBC Mobile iPlayer
