bbc iplayer newbie

    hey guys first off great forum and i will just like to say this is the first ever apple product iv got so im a complete newbie. my problem anyway.

    when i load up the bbc iplayer page and select a show it doesnt load but wat i do get is a white box that says"index.html" and then has two links download and play in media player i think its cos i have application installed its ajailbreak ipod touch 8gb fw 2.1. any1 have this problem and know how i can fix it looking forward to a reply

    first i'd like to say i love iplayer for ipod!! i love the bbc, the shows are such good quality.

    I've never seen your problem and i have a 2.1 jailbreak. which address are you at? is it ...co.uk/mobile/iplayer

    its the "Safari Download Plugin"

    Hit DOWNLOAD = it downloads the video
    Hit PLAY IN MEDIA PLAYER = it plays it

    when i click play in mediaplayer it just says cant play this type of file :S

    I've found the solution if you haven't already!

    Please Register or Log in to view images



    If your running 2.1 Jailbreak, then go to cydia -> manage -> Packages

    Then scroll down to Safari Download Plugin. Select Modify and Uninstall.

    Once complete return to cydia, press the home button and restart your iPod Touch or iPhone.

    The index.html box is now gone
