I have 2 questions about theming the battery in Winterboard

I know they have to be saved as BatteryBG_x.png where x = between 1-17

But what size in px do the batteries have to be, and what should the name of the image be for the charging battery icon?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

    it can be various sizes

But, you may have to play with what i call a "buffer area" of transparency around the image to get it centered properly.

    example:

As far as what the image should be named, i'm not sure i understand the question.

You already know they should be called "BatteryBG_x.png where x = between 1-17"

I would love to help you with this, i like batteries.

What are you trying to do?

I don't totally understand either, but I think he meant I/E - two pics. One says the battery is charged and the other pic says it is charging.I dont know what "px" is, but what does the name for the charging pic need to be?...At least I think that is what he is asking.

Thanks for your help. I just realised the charging battery icon only appears in the status bar, not on the lock screen when its charging, so the second question doesn't matter.

    @Oblivion >>> px is pixels , size

@Tomm >>> The pic on the screen will be whatever you make it, the sky really is the limit here.

All it is, is that when the battery is dead and you plug it in, the pod will display BatteryBG_1.png

When it is fully charged, it will show BatteryBG_17.png

mine says "Charged" when it's done because i PUT that word in the image

look at the pic i posted

if you typed "Charged" into your #1 pic, it would say charged when it's dead

it'll do whatever you want, the pics dont even need to be the same throughout the progression

Thanks, i've made my own battery theme now and its working on the ipod so thats good. One question though, in the battery theme you had a file called BatteryReflectionMask.png, what does it do? Thanks again for your help.

i think that reflection mask i put in there was modified down (made less tall)

it controls the reflection underneath the battery

without it, my battery would be reflected by the stock reflection mask built in for the apple battery, which was cutting off part of my battery due to the different dimensions of mine
