So it appears that my 2nd gen ipod touch battery is dead, so I'm wondering that is it a good idea to buy a new battery from ebay at around $10?

Because apple charges like $80 for it so should I trust ebay?

My advice would be you get what you pay for. Always try to buy original parts to ensure quality. For $10 you should be careful what you're buying.

I would avoid eBay if I was you.

    Try iFixit.
