    Adding gas-gauge-battery to N72AP.plist is not working for me.
    Probably because the ipod touch doesnt have an usage menu in preferences.
    On 3.1.3 it was also required to change the unified-ipod string on /var/Stash/Aplications.pwn/Preferences.app/General.plist but this file has changed on 4.0.

    So we need to find out how to enable the usage menu on the ipod touch 2g ios 4.0 so the gas-gauge-battery capability can work.

    Open:
    /Applications/Preferences.app/General.plist

    Look for:
    Code:
    <string>USAGE</string>
    And just delete the corresponding requiredCapabilities key and array.

    It doesn't work for me, I've tried removing <key>requiredCapabilities</key> under <string>USAGE</string> and when i go to my general settings it's blank. I've also added <key>gas-gauge-batteryBoolean</key>
    <true/> to my N72AP.plist and it didn't work either. Am i doing something wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    I've got a iPod touch 2g MC model on ios 4.0
    Jailbroken with Jailbreakme.

    It actually drains your battery in SBSettings

    ok guys here is a simple way to do this and i figured it out dont need to add anything else

    Simply add the following line to N72AP.plist:
    Code:
    <key>multitasking</key>
    <true/>

    <key>homescreen-wallpaper</key>
    <true/>

    <key>gas-gauge-battery</key>
    <true/>

    dont do anything else to the battery code, that is all you need to add and it will work
