I have charged my iPod Touch up over night using a Mains charger and It still hasnt reachd 100%.

I charge it all the time using the Mains Charger and the iPod used to charge to 100% but for a few times the charging stops at 88%.

    Does anyone know why???

I think that your battery's level sensor needs to be re-calibrated.

Let your ipod's battery drain completely then let it charge all the way back up un-interrupted. After all that it should charge fine.

Though batteries can suffer damage if you completely drain them. So as soon as it dies put it immediately on charge. Theres always been a common myth that draining batteries occasionally makes them better. Bullsh*t, your ruining the battery

But with Lithium battery's (The ipod's battery) it is often better to have a weekly routine of draining the battery completely then charging fully. Somehow this increases battery life somewhat.

It doesn't increase it, it reminds the battery of what it can handle. Say you charge your battery at 80% all the time, after a while the battery will think that's all it can handle. Which cuts battery life. That's my understanding of it anyway.
