Just got my new ipod touch a few days ago. Ive installed jailbreak and have a decent amount of apps on it and so I am loving it. The reason i got this ipod was because my last ones battery stopped holding a charge until it was unusable.

Ive herd the batteries they use in ipod have a certain # of time they can be recharged which i understand. I just want to make sure im getting the most out of my battery. I was wondering is there anything i could do that would be bad for my new ipod's battery life. Ive herd stuff about overcharging batteries with other devices, or letting the battery drain completely before recharging. Is it ok to just leave my ipod plugged into my mac when it im using it? or over night when im not using it?

I appreciate any help, thanks and merry christmas
