Battery Life-Software vs Hardware

    I know the 2g is known to have better battery life than the 1g, but does that lie in 2.1 firmware (specifically versus 2.0) or just the 2g hardware.
    Would upgrading help a 1g touch's battery life?

    yes u[grading does improve the battery life because in the newer firmwares they use less memory therefore putting less drain on the battery of course it isnt as good as a hardware change but it still works

    the actual battery itself may be better but when upgrades reduce leaks or unneeded processes always running in the background your battery life improves
