Battery Life Question

    ok so i know that the new ipod touch 4g has 40 hours of audio battery. but is this an improvement, how much battery did the 3g life, i cant seem to find info on how much of a difference the battery life is between the 3g and 4g.?

    I think we're too concentrated on the cameras and figuring out when they'll arrive

    yeah well i have a phone for a camera and i use the ipod for music, so this is more important to me

    Battery life is too important to me.
    I would rather have a device that stays on for longer then have comera's and other extra's.
    My iPod's battery doesn't last as long as I wish it would.

    lol you can always save more battery by lowering brightness and turning on auto-brightness. also turn off wi-fi and push for e-mail to save battery when you don't need it. not too sure if 40 hours of audio means rocking out on full brightness, volume, and such.

    if thats so, you can probably squeeze at least 10-15 hours more of audio.
    i have a 2g with the brightness a quarter way and all the stuff listed and get 35-40 hours of audio.

    i put my brightness all the way down and i still always run out of battery too soon, ill take those 10 hours lol

    I think the conditions for Apple's testing were 50% brightness with WiFi/Push turned off. Being more frugal with battery as you suggested would squeeze much more out

    also it varies from device-device. my ipod runs as well as a 3G ipod touch.
