I got a Touch Gen2, and even when its turned off and away for the night the battery the next day shows that it drained a bit already, I did turn it of properly by holding the power button down until it says slide to turn off, but i don't understand how the battery meter can be down a bit the next day. anyone else notice this or is my ipod faulty?

    hmm
well it depends if your ipod is jailbroken
because if it is jailbroken then i'll have to ask you
if you have the app, 'categories' because if you do
ppl have noticed that this drains your battery, i have noticed myself
tht whn ipod is charging while i use it
my battery seems to go down. so i took the liberty of uninstalling categories

No its not jailbroken, I don't trust using any hacked applications cause i have heard of it doing many weird things to ipods.

well if it wont do weird things then why do i keep seeing threads that say "my jailbroken ipod won't do this, won't recognise this, i can't sync", etc, i just dont trust it thats all.

every time you turn off completely your ipod it will drain battery cause it needs more energy to start up, so my recommendation is that just press the upper button once (don't hold) just leave it on standby and your battery will be alright.
