When you let your iPhone fully charge down it goes into this weird mode when you plug it into a power supply. It has a picture of the battery on red charge level on a black background. What does this mean and how do I get the iphone running properly. I've tried resetting it and powering on and off, nothing seems to work.
    Help please.

If the battery is drained far enough the OS will not power up and you get the screen you mentioned.

Just let it charge for a while until it takes enough charge to power back on.

If that does not work your battery may be headed south.

Never fully drain your battery if possible (apart from occasionally to recalibrate the battery meter if required). See the Battery link in my sig for some tips on squeezing the most out of each charge and battery life.
