battery draining quickly after jailbreak

    after jailbreaking 1.1.3, I notice now that my battery is draining way faster than normal.

    I wonder if its the fact that ssh can't be turned off.

    Anyone else?

    install services and you'll be able to turn ssh off

    Or boss prefs.

    just wondering if i install services and turn ssh off . Can i uninstall it after leaving ssh off will that work? I don't use ssh for anything but when i used the ipodtuchmasters JB (the best one yet by the way) i turned it on. Will this work or should i leave services installed ? Thanks

    i'm not sure but i would leave it installed. You never know if one day you might need it. I also use it to turn on and off wifi

    ssh.doesnt.run.your.battery.down. period

    I always Leave SSH on - just incase the iPod has problems booting - I can SSH in and see if I can figure the problem - it doesnt affect my battery at all....

    Really? I didn't know any better but read so many posts saying to keep ssh off to help battery life.

    Good to know then, must either be in my head or something draining the battery

    yeah, ive had ssh onsince i first jailbroke and my battery is pretty good. today is the first time ive charged it in a day or so.
