battery dies on sleep

    for example when im getting ready to go to bed i lock my ipod touch and put it down then wen i wake up in the morning its dead.so it loses power when its in lock mode.does anyone know why
    im on 3.0 jailbroken ipod touch 1g

    If you are jailbroken and have background processes running, then the battery may die quicker. Lock mode isn't completely off, its still using power, so you should turn it right off before going to bed.

    The other explanation is that your iPod battery is just dying from frequent use or is damaged.

    yea but it used to never waste battery in sleep really

    As I said, its probably damaged or worn from frequent use. Its probably just toasted over time. Apple will probably replace it if it becomes a problem.
