Basically, I dont have an iphone so all the GPS and auto score tracking apps are a bit pointless for me, along with the fact most need internet access to actually use.

Does anyone fancy trying to make a simple golf scorecard app? I have outlined what would be ideal below.

    I am using jailbreak 3.0

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    1)
    Enter Date (calendar selection?)

    Enter course name

    Holes: 9 or 18

    Course SSS
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    2) Individual Holes - same for 1-18

    Title: Hole #

    Enter par: - () +

    Strokes: - () +

    Putts: - () +

    Penalties: - () +

    Fairway hit off tee: Yes(=1)/No(=0)

    Green in regulation: Yes(=1)/No(=0)

(NOTE: obviously strokes must be at least equal to putts + penalties)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    3) Front 9 Score, Back 9 Score, Total Score display shown somewhere on all screens (at the bottom?)

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    4) After Hole #18 screen, game review screen

    Total number of strokes

    Number of strokes +/- par

Stableford Adjusted score (total no. strokes - total number of strokes MORE than +2 par per hole)

    Number of putts in round

Number of fairways hit off tee

    Numer of penalties in round

    Numer of GIR in round

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    5) some way to save it? be able to leave the app, then re-open to where it was before "home" button pressed

That would be a nice application. I could make that in java, but unfortunately that won't work with the ipod.
