Hi guys! Im learning bash and for a script im currently writing i need the different user input given to be inserted at different positions of the regular file with no extention. so say the three variables were "prt1", "prt2", and "prt3" (without the ") and i wanted it to be inserted like this:

    blah blah: blah prt1
    blah prt2: blah
    blah blah: prt3 blah

what would i write and what does it mean (for further projects)

Ok I figured out how to write wat I want, but I want to know how I can insert a new line. The way I use to write out a file is:
    Code:
    read TEXT
    echo $TEXT > myfile
