    Hello everyone.

I took my iPod touch 16gb to the toilet since the lights were out. The touch gave out good light.

However, I left it there and later my brother returned it to me with a cracked screen.

Nothing works. When I plugin to iTunes, it says "iPod detected, but not recognized".

Not sure about Water damage. Its still White inside the headphone jack port.

I don't have warranty on this.

    What are my options ?

    Really frustrated

Ouch. Sounds like you're in a pickle. Even if you had warranty it would be tricky. The screen being broken pretty much lets Apple know that the damage was user inflicted (accidentally, I know). Your best bet would probably be to sell it for parts on eBay and go get a new one.

    No luck for me.

As for eBay or BuyMyTronic types, I'm in bad luck as well. I live in Bangladesh. I will have to spend more on shipping the items, if I want to sell it !

So what do you suggest I do ?

Put it in a glass box and put it up in my room as a reminder for myself to take care of things ?

Or should I try to open it open and put it back together see if things work ?

    Heres a pic

That is the screwdriver that I am trying to open it with - no success though.

They Dont sell Any made-for-ipod tools here in my Country.

Guitar picks - assuming I need some hard plastic, I could use plastic cards or similar stuff, going through them now.
