I currently have a 3.1.2 jailbreak with blackra1n and a ipod touch 3G 32GB. My only gripe is that I have to restore to get this "spirit" jailbreak. I don't have any photos and I could care less about my browser cache, and my music is all backed up in itunes, but I need to be able to save all the apps and tweaks i got from Cydia. Is there anyway I can back those up?

I those apt backup apps they screw with what you install afterwards, its easier to just go to packages in cydia and make the lsit in notepad or word and you get a clean slate

Take screenshots of all the apps you downloaded.

I can honestly say that after restoring my pod, JBing it with Spirit, all I did was redload PkgBackup ($4.00USD) and restored all my appz without any problems at all ..... Best $4 I ever spend and saved a ton of time..

Just write down what you want. I made a list and got rid of all the extra crap I downloaded from Cydia that slowed down my iPod Touch. Writing a list allows you to choose what you really want on your iPod Touch.

Download "Rock" (its like a faster Cydia), from Cydia.
It has it's own built-in backup. It automatically backs up everytime you download or delete an app. You can also force backup.

Rock has about 98-99% of the apps Cydia has, plus an app manager, and it's faster. You can download it from Cydia.
