background applications

    Hi, i need to know can i run any application in background?

    if your jailbroken get backgrounder (i think) and that will let a lot of apps run in the background. even non jailbroken apps.

    Hi thanks for the reply but it so sad and irritating that apple does not support background application which is kinda basic need...nyways is there any API which can help find out IMSI number?

    You will have to rely on push notification as that is what apple will be using in 3.0. Doubt they will support background apps any time soon. (they blame it on too much battery loss)
