Background App Released

    There is a new app called background on cydia that allows you to run apps in the background. Awesome! You can run Beejive or whatever IM client and not have to close it. It's an amazing feature, something Apple probably would never implement and it's back. Get it now!

    yes it does i got myspace to stay open when i closed it i didnt have to login again i was already logged in

    works with beejiveIm also. Though it does consume quite a bit of battery...

    It could? I thought that all app store apps had to be sand boxed and nothing could run in the background.

    As for the battery depletion I find that once you start pushing the device in this manner you get only a few hours usage. It's unfortunate, but true.

    Sweet, I love this. But it will hurt the battery a lot so I'll have to watch out for that.
