    Hi,

Once you jailbreak your Ipod, is there a way to go back to the ORIGINAL IPOD settings?

And if you send it in for service (at Apple) will they know that your IPOD was Jalibroken?

    Thanks,

    Marc.

They will never know that it was Jailbroken. Then why do they say that It voids the warranty when you jailbreak it?

Because, they don't really want people to jailbreak the iPods and iPhones, but people do it anyways.
Trust me, after a restore, they won't know it was jailbroken.

    No, they won't know.
How would they know your computer's exact address?
Also, if they did know that, how would the Apple employees have access to the database to Apple's official website?
Plus, I'm sure they get thousands of downloads from their site a day relating to firmwares.

Trust me, that's not going to happen. xD

    they won't know.
yes it is very possible for apple to figure out that you have jailbroken after restore because a restore does not get rid of every piece of information. it WOULD take them way too much time and way too much effort to figure it out tho and they will not do it.

just restore and youll be 100% fine.

I heard this in the this forum, but when you restore through iTunes, it just pastes a new firmware over your existing one. So, if you were to only restore through iTunes, they can probably figure out you've installed 3rd party applications. Also, I heard people who used ZiPhone got their bootloaders permanently modified, so when they plug it in, they see it's been modified. You should put it into DFU mode. This theoretically "wipes" your Touch or Phone, meaning that it has nothing on it, like when you bought it.

    Eric.
