    Hello Everyone,

I've got some AVI files lying around on my macbook's harddrive, I was curious about what the simplist way to convert those to MP4 to be compatible with my ipod touch. Thanks for the advice!

I have tried visualhub, however imo it is buggy and extremely slow. I was hoping to find something a little faster. Thanks anyway though!

What kind of computer do you have? Because, I can convert a 30 minute video from AVI to MP4 within 8 - 10 minutes. No matter which app I use to convert.

iMac, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz.

Perhaps I'm just impatient...However when I convert hour-and-a-half long movies they normally take about 3 hours with the settings set to optimize for ipod touch. I'm only on a lousy 2 ghz white macbook though.

    What do you use?

    Handbrake usually does well.

i use gom encoder most of the time.
conversion takes little less than the length of the clip.
My computer is an old ass box, so if you have a high end PC, conversion will be really quick
