    Hi,

I'm not a noob with converting videos, so don't worry - but I was wondering what you all expect the average size for a [90 minute] movie to be?

I have always expected about 700MB, but now using Handbrake for some reason I am getting sizes of 1500MB. I can tell the quality difference, which is much better, but I can't see what I am doing differently.

When I set the 'target output' to 700MB it gives me a really rubbish quality.

    Any ideas?

By my understanding, you shouldn't be able to tell the difference between a video encoded at iPod high rez and the same one encoded at iPod low rez, on an ipod, because the high rez version is actually twice the pixel count of the native ipod screen resolution.

What are you viewing the movies on?

My movies start out at 700 mbs and are around 350 mbs after, using iPod AVC H264 codec, on High Quality. (I use Total Video Converter)
