My 8gb itouch (MC) has been losing battery REALLY quickly in iOS4.
I believe I found the possible cause, when I lost only 1% of battery (in sleep mode) when the wifi was off, as opposed to the usual 35%.
I was wondering if a spinoff of Auto3g was possible, except in Wifi.
Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac, so there is no way of me even ATTEMPTING to do this

iOS 4 has persistent wifi features.

You don't need a mac to do anything. The wifi on the touch, as well as the iPad and iPhone is really advanced. If your not going to be using wifi, turn it off. Also screen brightness and video playback play a big roll in battery life. Adjust those and you should be fine.

Thing is, I don't remember to turn it off
On top of tat, my iPod seems persistent in draining my battery unless I turnoff my wifi when in sleep mode

    UPDATE
I just contacted the maker of Auto3g, and he confirmed that version 2.0 WILL have a fix for this
