I know there is already a thread covering this topic, but the links and information was removed by the OP. Here are basic instructions on how to jailbreak your iPod touch.

    What you need:

    - .NET Framework 3.0
    - Wifi connection to connect to http://jailbreak.toc2rta.com/
    - Latest version of TouchFree

    What you do:

    - Download touchfree from the website
    - Simply follow the instructions that come up on the screen. If you have any problems please post them here.
    - When promted to reboot your iPod simply turn your iPod off and turn it back on

    What jailbreaking will do:

Installing TouchFree and jailbreaking your touch will enable you to install 3rd party applications on your iPod touch. TouchFree will install the installer.app, springboard, and the iPhone applications.

    Alternative Method:

    http://upload.tr0gd0r.com/uploads/basher-itouch-fix.zip

This method does not require you to have .NET Framework 3.0. It does not install iPhone apps but does install the installer.app and springboard. You still have to visit the tiff site, just follow the instructions that come up on the screen and reboot your iPod when promted to do so.

    "Help I bricked my iPod!"

If you think that you bricked (Definition: To make inoperable) you may need to force your iPod into restore mode. For instructions on how to do this please see the thead below.

If you want to do the above please see the ultimate guide. If you want to do something and it is not posted here chances are you will find it there.

ok i've already posted on http://www.ifans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2230&page=13 but in case that was the wrong place to post, i'll post here as well. im having trouble jailbreaking my ipod touch.. i tried touchfree.. i tried jailbreak.bat.. and also tried the manual way from touchdev site. it seems iphuc doesnt write the rsdisk0s1 file. i keep getting 'failed to write to remote file: 4'.. touchfree didn't display any error message or anything. jailbreak.bat method said a few of those failed to write messages after many attempts. the manual way wouldn't let me get past that rsdisk0s1 part.. any ideas? i loaded jailbreak.toc2rta in safari b4 trying any methods.. i tried restoring ipod before each method.. killed all ipod processes through task manager and everything. any ideas?? i hate it not working!! lol

PS- i have firmware 1.1.1 and also tried searching the forums first.. somebody please help. thanks in advance
