Would it be possible to program an iPod Touch to run a specific program when it is plugged into a computer? I turned an old USB dock on my desk into a dock for my iPod/iPhone and I'd like it to run a digital clock app when it is docked. Also, if this is possible what could be the cons of using my iPod as a desk clock? I still put it in sleep mode when I'm not at my desk and turn it off when I'm not charging it.

There are plenty of apps out there that are clocks. Search the App Store, I see them all the time.

^That's not what he meant. He wants an app to turn on when he connects to a USB cable.

yeah I have several clock apps actually. what i want is either an app or a custom process to open one of those apps when my iPod is docked.

using a winterboard theme you can get a clock to display when the ipod is plugged into your computer instead of the battery. sorry cant remember which one it was and only work if your ipod is jailbroken.
