    NOTE!:
Only tested on an iPhone 3G on 3.1.2, and a iPhone 2G with small image differences. It should work as well on 3.1 and 3.1.1. Another tester for that would be great.

Hello fellow iPTF members. Today I have a pretty cool and useful camera mod for your iPhones. Ever want that auto focus 3GS users have? Thought it was silly for them to leave it out on our phones? Well here's a mod for that. Credit to VirtueDesignNZ for the mod. So enough talk, let's get right to it.

    What you'll need...
    • A Jailbroken iPhone on 3.1 or higher.
    • SSH software
    • The mod. Download Link
    • A basic knowledge of SSH'ing and Re-springing.

    Steps
    1. You want to make a back up of your iPhone just incase something goes wrong.
    2. Second, you want to download the modification to your desktop or somewhere you save your files.
    3. Next you want to un-zip the files and open the folder.
    4. After that you want to re-name the "Camera.framework" to "Camera.framework2" No Quotations
    5. Then, SSH into your iPhone using your SSH software
    6. Now, on your computer (In the SSH client) navigate to where you downloaded the mod files.
    7. Make a folder called "Camera Back-up" On your computer just incase.
    8. Navigate on your iPhone to System > Library
    9. Drag the VideoDecoders and the VideoEncoders to your Back up folder.
    10. Replace the VideoDecoders and VideoEncoders folder with the ones in your Mod folder. When it asks to overwrite, select yes to all since we made a back up.
    11. Navigate on your iPhone to System > Library > CoreServices > Springboard.app
    12. Drag the M68AP.plist, the N82AP.plist, to your back up folder. (Note: some people also have the N88AP.plist originally on their phone. If you do, drag it into back up as well. If you don't then that's fine too.)
    13. Next, Add the M68AP.plist, the N82AP.plist, and the N88AP.plist to your iPhone from the mod folder. When it asks to overwrite, select yes to all.
    14. Then on your iPhone Navigate to System > Library > Private Frameworks
    15. On your computer drag the Camera.framework2 to the Private Framworks folder.
    16. Finally re-spring your iPhone, open up your Camera.app, and tap anywhere on your screen and Bam! Focus your images.

Top before focus, Bottom focus on crest.
From my own personal use of the focuser I can say it does my pictures focus better and in my opinion a great mod.
If you need any help feel free to ask in this thread.
