No, you probably have to buy the 300 dollar wireless speakers, and buy a golf cart to carry your laptop, wireless combo drive, wireless backup harddrive, and wireless speakers, and all of the other stuff apple should have built into the f***ing thing with you.

But seriously, imagine dragging all of this sh*t around.
    So much for ultra portable.

    Imagine this,
"Hey man check out this cd"

"Oh dude I can't, i forgot my CD drive in the car, and my iPod has more hard drive space than my computer, so I have to use my wireless backup drive since i don't have any space left in my AIR"

I was at first shocked when I saw the lack of CD drive too. BUT, after thinking about it, the last time I used the internal drive on my Macbook was to upgrade to Leopard, other than that, all the software I buy and "get" is downloaded, it's been almost a year. And people were more shocked when Apple ditched the 3.5" floppy.....
I don't think I know anyone with a laptop, that doesn't have an external DVD burner to use if they REALLY need a disc drive.

And as for the 80Gig hard drive.... maybe you are used to PC's where you need a lot of room for various things (anti-spyware, anti-virus etc.), but my 80 gig hard drive has over 20 gigs free and no signs of filling up anytime soon. But again, most people that use laptops, have an external at their home or office docking station. Mine is 300 Gigs and is primarily used for my music backup, and Time Machine. 80 Gigs, is PLENTY. On a Laptop
