Got an ATV3 for Christmas, connected it to wifi, and updated it to 5.1.1. Whenever I try logging in to Home Sharing, it says it cannot connect to the server. I've tried a router reset and making sure I have less than 5 authorized computers on my account. Anything else?
Is your Wi-Fi network WPA2 secured? HomeSharing seems to have trouble with that, I switched mine to just WPA and it worked fine.
Which post? I was just going to comment, since my home sharing is slow but still works. I am on a 20meg service and it takes a good minute to start a movie but i can stream music just fine. I am going to try to swtich to WPA and see if that works, if that post was meant for the AppleTV question.
