hello, i'm on a first gen ipod touch and i was runnign 2.0.1 and decided to upgrade to 2.0.2 then jailbreak
well, i updated, and it then said my firmware was 2.1, without eveing prompting me to pay for it =/
so, now when it boots up, it stays on the boot screen with the SWOD just intersecting the apple
eventually, it stops spinning and all the little lines become solid white
though, it still syncs and everything when connected ot itunes
its also spontaniously rebooted several times
if anyone could please help me, this would be great

2.1 was free if you had 2.0.1/2 i think... and tried restoring? that should sort it...

if not... send it to apple for a brand new one

I suggest restoring because those problems with the boot screen do not look pretty.

i have tried to restore it, lol

the strange thing is though, is that after the update, all my stuff was apparently still on my ipod
i had like, 1.4 gigs of "other" on there, along with about 1 gig of video
i'm restoring it right now, so hopefully it works
if not, i'm going to try restoring from dfu mode

ah, i forgot to mention that its on the restart after the restore that it would freeze up
but this time it restarted to the springboard =)
so, i guess now i'll jailbreak with pwnage
has anyone done this yet? just so i know it works
