Wow. That's terrible imo. I didn't even realize it was that bad.

My family pays $120 a month for 4 lines on Verizon and that includes 1400 Shared "Whenever Minutes", Unlimited Nights (starting at 9) and Weekend Minutes, Unlimited TXT, PIX, and FLIX messaging, Unlimited Verizon to Verizon minutes (and text), and for $5 more a month, we could also have unlimited internet access.

I have no problem with AT&T whatsoever. Their rates are about the same as you'd find attatched to any smart phone.

If you're already paying $75, the bump for the iPhone plan should be no big deal to you.

They did come to Verizon first, but they couldn't agree on terms. For instance, Apple didn't want to let other Verizon Phone Distributers, such as Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, etc. to be able to sell the phone. Only them and Verizon retailers.

Ironically, the iPhone is now available at all those places, even though the original plan of Apple was to leave them out, no matter what carrier they went with.

i though that it was because apple didn't allow verizon to control the OS and thats why they couldn't agree.

i have at&t and i love it. skylar is right. its a fair price to pay for having the leading smartphone in the "game" right now. and with the recent release of yellowsn0w, you can get at&t or any other sim-based carrier with a normal 3g data plan. the only problem is getting the iphone.
