I know you know at home activation is back, so don't post about the other threads that say its back. skip to the bottom to get to the point. [Via Engadget] [Via ATT] Now, after doing a bit of research, i found they also charge a new-line activation fee Please Register or Log in to view images (nothing much) i was like alright, doesnt matter, ill buy it, pay the first month's bill and cancel it.... then i read some more these following fees also apply.... the contract termination fee is $175 (OMFGZ!!!) we already know that if you cancel your contract before 30 days, you have to return the device (old news) the total activation/termination is 175+$36=$211 added on to the price (i added the 36 because they only waive the fee if you cancel within 3 days, and in that case, you have to return the device.) add that on to the initial price... its basically getting a (maybe) cheaper PAYG early.
