Zibri has posted an entry on his blog (not linked due to sketchy ads) announcing that a new version of his controversial jailbreak tool that works with 2.0 firmwares.
Meanwhile, a member of the Dev team gives a very level-headed description of the differences between QuickPwn and Ziphone. It's a good read if you have any grasp of the technical concepts, and it makes it easy to understand why Ziphone caused so many troubles.

Ah yes, I saw that blog entry earlier today.
Interesting stuff (although I'm simple so it doesn't really concern me all that much

btw, you may want to move this to 2.0 Jailbreak rather than Site Chat xP

so meaning like always this is semi-safe for ipod touch due to the lack of a baseband but the corruption of the root directory will eventually effect it but gives iphone users even more dangers they have to worry about this really helps wonder if he took time to fix that?

I assume there's a connection between your willingness to read (or lack therefore of) and your grasp on the English language.
It's difficult to even understand you're asking, but do you mean "duped" or "tricked" when you say "used"?
If so, then yes, he used the Dev Team.
He leaked or published lots of their exploits, claiming them to be his own for fame and money.
