    Hi All,

I've been looking at the various guides, and following them to the letter, but when I get to the point where the redsn0w patch is run (#pwn211ibss.txt) I get ERRORS by the arm7_go, and arm7_stop sections. My ipod is going into DFU mode correctly it seems. My ipod touch is a 16gb 2G

I'm running it on a Macbook 10.5.6 (with DFU patch), and have tried on a hackintosh 10.5.4, but both produce the same error message. I've noticed other people on the forums have the same message. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Any help appreciated!

Did you upload the 2.1.1 iBSS? Apple corrected the exploit so the 2.2 iBSS isn't exploitable.

    Hi,

When I do the procedure to sen the 2.1.1 iBSS through the DFU, a message comes back just saying OK, so it looks like its working. It's the next part with the #pwn211ibss.txt that produces the errors. I'll try to get a screen print of the terminal screen and paste it here.

Are you sure you extracted that from the 2.1.1 firmware? I made this mistake. Files can get conjumbled, and sometimes you don't know you've renamed 2.2 as iBSS211.dfu.

Re-extract the files from the IPSWs.
Remember that you need the 2 first files from the custom 2.2.1 and the last file from the official 2.1.1. Notice the bolded difference (2.1 and 1.1).
From your custom 2.2.1 ipsw, extract these (patched) files:
    -iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu (name it iBSS221pwn.dfu)
    -iBoot.n72ap.RELEASE.img3 (name it iBoot221pwn.img3)
From the official 2.1.1 ipsw, extract this (unpatched) file:
    -iBSS.n72ap.RELEASE.dfu (name it iBSS211.dfu)
