The iPhone isn't the only ARM-based mobile device out there. Most any PDA these days is ARM-based, ditto most Windows Mobile-based smartphones as well as all those portable 'mobile Internet Devices'. So saying, because there's an ARM-optimized version that the iPhone is getting Flash is like saying that, because the U.S. government's setting up a bailout plan for the mortgage crisis that you're suddenly going to be getting free money.

Sure, Flash would be cool on the iPod/Phone, but is it really worth it? It would dramatically slow down the iPod/Phone. And we already have YouTube and other alternative ways to view appropriate or inappropriate videos. You can't really play FlashGames because of the lack of controls, so there you have it.

If it shows sections with flash symbols that you have to tap to initiate... i could see it being very useful. but for the most part i don't need it. i honestly haven't missed flash at all.

oh sorry. i didn't see those.
and seriously, stop raining on everyone's parade just because you are personally against flash on iphone. the whole point of iphone's safari was that it would revolutionize mobile internet browsing. without flash, i'm not so sure this has happened.

Flash does not revolutionize internet browsing. It just makes it pretty. You and most others just want Flash to:

    • Watch Pornography
    • Watch TV Episodes/Movies
    • Play little Flash Games

First one goes against Apple's policies. Second and Third goes against Apple's business deals.
