I've been interested in the Beats By Dr. Dre headphones for a while, after being told about them by a friend. I know they're popular just because of the design and the fact that Dre sponsors them, but I've also heard negative things about it. The price is a bit steep, but I guess it also encompasses the folding design, and what you get in the box.

I'm not a huge audiophile, but I require headphones that deliver powerful bass, good highs, good design/looks (I hate the dime-a-dozen dark grey ones), and noise-cancelling. Also, I like headphones that don't produce noise so others can hear. This is why I like the Dre headphones. Also, I like how they fold. That does wonders for me.

    What's bad about them?

They're not bad(not that great either), just overpriced.

Took the words straight out of my mouth. Just slightly overpriced :/ You could get a lot with $300 to be honest..

Are there other headphones that are on-par in terms of design, but also having more value for the price?

Is there anything I should know about the headphones? Like the Battery Life, etc?
