Are some bluetooth devices not compatible?

    I have an old Visontac bluetooth GPS device that I wanted to sync up with my ipt. It just says 'Searching...' and never finds it.

    you cannot use the ipod touch normal bluetooth with other devices other than headphones. you can pass this by jailbreaking and using ibluenova or ibluever

    ibluetooth is another, btw some of the above at paid, dont remember witch tho. remember one being above $5

    These programs will allow my bluetooth GPS device to communicatae with my ipt?

    maybe, the programs cant connect to every bluetooth device on earth

    Well I'm trying out iBlueNova 15 day trial. Recognized my device. So far so good.

    o yea some apps have trials, after trial ends u wont be able to use without paying.

    For bluetooth gps you want to buy roqygps. Designed specifically for bluetooth gps thingies

    Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I don't think they offer a trial to try before purchasing.
