I'd say so, I'm not really sure if solid state memory is affected by magnetism. That said, a lot of flash drives have magnetic clips on them too.

i've had a magnet case on my over 2 year old iPod touch and have had no problems.

From what I know, magnets don't affect flash memory.

Flash memory is solid state, and the iPod touch obviously does not use a CRT display. You're good.

i've heard that the magnet can absorb electricity, give it more of a charge, therefore wasting your battery a little bit. but i cannot confirm this, i just saw it somewhere on another forum.

Naw. magnetic fields will affect electricity but don't 'absorb' it. It won't drain a battery or affect solid state memory.

You have a 2 year old iPod touch? That's really, really, really impressive.

I'll just sit back and laugh when your iPod gets dead pixels.

Unless you spin the magnet around, creating a magnetic flux of over 0.5 webers, then your ok
