so i had a jailbroken ipodtouch with fw 2.1. i wanted to keep all apps and themes so i used APTBACKUP. then i restored and upgraded to 2.2 , then jailbroke and then restored from backup. so i go lookon my ipot and all springboard shows are the apps that werent in categories. all the others are GONE! maybe i made a mistake keeping the apps in folders prior to restoring but what happened to all my themes?? i had about 30 themes and now all i have are like 10.....

and the weird thing about this is that apps such as MIM were you could change the ipods name that were in folders and that i cant see are still working! i still have my personalized writing on my status bar......

    help....

    Install them manually.

You need to RESTORE your iPod, not just upgrade in iTunes. Upgrading will leave remnants of the jailbreak behind and you will also lose space on your device when you jailbreak on the new firmware. Assuming you used aptbackup correctly, you will be able to restore your data once you and restored your firmware and jailbroken again.
