AppStore app mods?

    How do u mod an appstore app? like changing strings inside the app and stuff...
    try to keep it simple-ish
    dont be a butt and leave a post just to say something stupid. if ur gonna post, leave an ANSWER, not a post that asks a questions or calls me stupid

    Well, the main problem is that the signature of the app can be changed if the files are modified. You can try it (no guarantees) by going to your apps directory and try modifying the files you find there.

    The way to do it without changing the signature is to use winterboard to apply the changes.

    uh..im sorry, im not a developer..or modder..or w/e.
    i have no knowledge of this kind of junk on ipod touches

    could you elaborate?

    he's telling you to use winterboard to apply the themes. because by using winterboard, it seems like you are overwriting the files but you aren't.

    You can use winterboard to add different files into the applications and they are "layed" over the real app files.

    For example...

    Say I wanted the Guitar Hero TTR. I would drag the contents of the theme into the Winterboard themes folder, and then open Winterboard and check it off. What Winterboard does, is ignore the signatures. It pretty much stands in front of it instead of replacing them, kinda like what micaheljcaboose said That's the simplest way to explain it.

    winterboard is like skinning your computer, it will have a different theme but the core functions of it are still the same, there will be no modifications to the actual app so the signature will be unchanged.
