Apps won't close when holding button down for 5 seconds

    Upgraded to newest firmware, now I can't close APPS. Holding button for 5 seconds doesn't work any more. HELP!??!?!?!

    Hold the top button down until you get the "Slide to Turn Off". Then hold the home button until app closes.

    For reference, this is because the 3G S uses that shortcut for voice control so Apple inmplemented the cahnge across all platforms.
