    Hi,
for some reason i can't acces my ipod touch with FTP. i have used several clients (winscp - ws_ftp - putty - iOrder). I give the ip (192.168.1.3), root as UN and alpine as PW.
therefore, i'm searching for other ways to put applications - especially mail and maps - on my itouch.
i have tried a way via iShare and sendspace.com but you cant put gmm frameworks that way + it is a lot of stupid work

can anyone please please help me??

    thanks

you use port 22 as well? also make sure of the correct ip address, try 192.168.1.103. it looks like your using a linksys router, in which case the last section of your ip should be three digits, not 1.

I have the same issue. I really would like Maps but I cannot find a way to get into my iPod. I get a "Connection Refused" error. My touch is 1.1.1

    Any help would be appreciated.
    192.168.1.106 is 'host'
    un root
    pw alpine

    fileprotocol: sftp (checked box)

    Thanks,

    Dave

assume you are running ssh on your ipod??? took me a while to work out i need have that going to connect to your ipod. a lot of the sites assume you have it activated. if you jailbroke your touch using jailbreakme.com then you wont have it installed.

My way to upload appz without ftp to ur ipod!
    - you need a jailbreaked on
    - you need ifinder
    - download "ibrickr"

connect ur ipod to your pc!
start ibrickr and choose the right path...
    upload the files u want.
if the files need 755 (chomd) just open ifinder, follow the path and set
cia modify 755 (just activate all exec buttons)

    done...
on this way i got the iphone appz, gba emu, snes emu, themes and so on!

    Cheers

(sry for bad english i am german^^)
