So, like, with the apps I have, it says the name under them. Take Tap Tap Revenge. There's the little icon, and then under it in tiny font it says "Tap Tap." IDK how the heck I turned it on, but I've checked SBSettings, Settings and so on, and I can't seem to figure out how to turn it off. As for Winterboard, the only things checked off are Guitar Hero Skin for Tap Tap and User Wallpaper.

If it matters, although I'm pretty sure it doesn't, I'm on an 8GB 2 generation Ipod Touch.

EDIT: OK, if that's how it should be, how can I turn it OFF?

    They are on by default.

To turn the app names off, you need to open Winterboard and tick No Undocked Icon Labels and No Docked Icon Labels
