    Here's a big no-no:
I was trying to re-install all my previous cydia apps using apt-backup. After it completed, it reset the ipod, which launched it into an endless boot cycle on un-jailbroken. I attempted a boot to jailbroken, but am still (after a couple minutes) unsuccessful in booting, which is kinda disappointing...

Err... iPod just attempted a re-boot as I was typing... Let's see if it gets to normal boot? ... no ... Endless boot cycle... Trying to get back in jailbroken leads me with the "connect to itunes" screen (which is normal, however it appears to stall there for a bit before crashing and rebooting whilst continuously giving me that connect/disconnect sound).

Moral of the story? I don't suggest aptbackup for reinstalling cydia apps, or maybe it was just because of some of the apps I had installed (listed below):
    OpenSSH
    BossPrefs
    Winterboard
    Backgrounder
    Categories
    Finder
    And a few other I can't remember...

Well at least I don't have to xpwn the firmware again...

with winterboard you need to use the patch other wise normal boot gets stuck in loop. So it could of been that or one of the other apps.

What you should really do is install them one by one and restart after each to see if it will still boot into normal. If it doesnt then just go back to jailbreak and uninstall that app.

Again, even the jailbreak interface was busted, or I would have done just that. Just a warning, either aptbackup messed it up, or one of those apps messed up both modes (normal boot loop, jailbreak boot crash). Had to restore the firmware, no other option.

I don't think we should list all the apps that do in fact work, however it's your topic so...
    Some apps that work...
    AptBackup's interface does indeed work
Poof (tested the individual app, not the one included in bossprefs)

I'll test more apps after iTunes finishes syncing...
