I just resently did the untethered ipod touch 2g jailbreak, and wasnt having any trouble, until i decided to create an app linking to a website on it. For some strange reason it crashed my springboard(a message popped up telling me that) and now i am unable to delete any app that has an X on it when you hold down. Ive searched all over, but cannot find a fix. Restart doesnt work. Anyone got any idea? I know a restore would work, but i would rather avoid that if possible.

You could use the Terminal and delete it that way

    su
    root
    your password

    and then rm /var/mobile/example.txt

Either SSH into it with putty or get the terminal through cydia and i think that might solve your problem if you wish to delete a specific application if you know where to look. It's really awesome that there is a unix base inside it

I'm no pro but i hope this information helps, although remember to be careful because if you remove the wrong thing it will be "gone".
